Come As You Are - Autumn Looms and Weaves

Dear Lost Souls,
Labor Day!! “Say it ain't so, Joe!” Inevitable as the shortening of the summer daze, Autumn draws ever near. The good news is that Chip and Liz are back!! And, there is lots of shine left in our Friday Communion!
Yes . . . Cocktail Hour is on for this Friday evening and you are invited to come share our peculiar theories of alchemy in the pursuit of a finer social luster. Or else you can just stop by for a cocktail and a couple 'o pistachios. Beginning around 7:30pm, cocktails will be served under the broad leaves of the Haberdashery's familiar canopy. Your weekend begins at the top of the steps. As always, please feel free to stop by for a quickie en route to your chosen Friday venue . . . or to linger indefinitely.
Yours,
Greg
P.S. Your humble host will be tempering in a desert life over the Labor Day weekend, so there will be no Cocktail Hour next week (August 29th).

Come As You Are - On A Hot Summer Night . . .

. . . On a hot summer night,
Would you offer you throat
To the Wolf with the red roses?

Dear Lost Souls,
Midsummer! And look ahead . . . a temporal oasis! Friday Night Cocktail Hour at the apex of Barbecue season. No flesh or fowl is safe. The grill anticipates the products of your sorted whims and the bar eagerly awaits fulfilling your alchemy dreams!
Yesss, Cocktail Hour is on for this Friday Night, and following hot on the rigors of a spam check, we will be firing up the Weber to add that hint of danger to the routine of normal human sustenance. Cocktails will be served at 7:30pm, the grill will be glowing by 8:00pm, and the balance of the program rests squarely in our collective breadbasket. For the greener among us, our little community oasis is located at 2107 Hearst Avenue in Berkeley; at the northeast corner of Hearst and Shattuck; three blocks north of the Downtown Berkeley BART (tel: 510.644.1998). We are, with pride, your 'Last Resort'; so please feel free to stop by for a quickie en route to your Friday night venue of choice . . . or to linger indefinitely . . .
Yours,
Greg
