No Cocktail Hour this Week

Dear Lost Souls,
I will not be able to host Cocktail Hour for the next two Friday evenings (January 31st and February 7th). I will be indisposed on critical Haberdashery business. As always, I invite some other soul to take the charge and host in my place. There is no “I” in team!!Please mark your calendar for some important Cocktail Hour related events coming up soon: February 14 is V-Day! Yes, we will taking a moment of pause to celebrate the allied victory over Fascist tyranny in Europe. Please join us has we hoist a glass to liberation. Fatigues are optional.Mardi Gras in right around the corner!!! March 4th Is Fat Tuesday, so we will be having our annual Mardi Gras celebration on March 1st (the Saturday before). This the culmination of the our fiscal calendar, so mark your calendar. I also suggest that some of you start training. Last year some rookies underestimated the Hurricane's namesake. That is tough lesson. Greg Dolge will also be preparing a schedule of walks during the course of the party so he can shoehorn in another couple helpings of seafood gumbo. Just a little reminder to those of you who think that you forgot to give back the beads last year and are afraid to admit it: YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO KEEP THEM!! I've got gunny sacks more where those came from, so choose carefully when you arrive, because they are yours to keep. More details to follow. In March we will also be celebrating the miracle of opposable thumbs. Be sure to bring yours along and try it out on a one of our miracles of alchemy. Ain't life grand!
Yours,
Greg

Come As You Are - Sendem' Down Under

Dear Lost Souls,
Carrie Hamilton and David Barnard are moving to Australia! The Haberdashery will be hoisting a glass in there honor this Friday evening. Yes, Cocktail Hour is on and you are invited to come help send them off with a smile. If you have not met Carrie and David, this is your last fuckin' chance. If you don't take this chance to meet them before they leave, you can forget about showing up on there doorstep in Sydney unannounced (the author foreshadows). Cocktails will be served starting at 7:30pm. Show up early, since I believe that Carrie and David have other constituents to service later in the evening. Please feel free to stop by for a quickie . . . . or to linger indefinitely.
Yours,
Greg
