But still we are left to wonder if the impacts, recollections, and interpretation of this past year's happenings are themselves another self referential indulgence; a contrived landscape of eclectic dreams painted from a mixed palette of bright and ominous emotional tones; a technicolor drama of invented meaning that helps us to navigate the blank canvas of our ephemeral human existence?

To help our intrepid band of Haberdites glean a measure of clarity from this chaotic maelstrom of maltheist dark matter, this evening The Haberdashery is pleased to host the prodigal return of celebrated neuropsychologist, Dr. Andrew Levine, CAYA 2.0 Cofounder, decorated pugilist, and consummate bum. This will be your last chance, aided by our professionally qualified support and alchemically certified mixologists, to get your karmic shite together before you are jettisoned into the cold dark vacuum of 2018's cosmic uncertainty . . . so don't blow it!

CAYAbama; Oh Embrace Me Sweet Opiate of Delusion!

Dear Lost Souls,

Congratulations for surviving another week in The United States of Surrealia ... and let us now, for this brief moment, embrace the sweet opiate of delusion and optimism that has been precipitated by the oh-so-narrow political defeat of a racist right wing zealot in Alabama, whose only distinguishing policy departure from his senate colleagues was his unapologetic embrace of pedophilia.

But, as the orange haze of Tweet storms finally dissipates from the hollows of Alabama, and our emboldened stewards of democracy embrace the euphoria of fiscal Hara-kiri, we are cheerfully left to contemplate the mounting revelations of pervasive predatory sexual assault that are a deep moral indictment of our national consciousness. Meanwhile, California is being consumed in an apocalyptic maelstrom of wild fires, while the patriarch of our Idiocracy boastfully ignites the fuse of an ancient religious powder keg that, otherwise, had been one of the only relatively dormant conflict points in the Mideast ... oh ya, and North Korea is scheduled to test launch another ICBM this weekend! ;-)

Yes, my Proletariat Patriots, Cocktail Hour is on for this Friday evening ... 'cuz we can all use a holiday break from this shit show. As always, our CAYA Alchemists will be on hand to diligently fulfill your fluid desires* ... delivering ephemeral highballs; mixed with a healthy jigger of low expectations and a dash of escapism, shaken to the point of disorientation, and served in the chilled lamp light of the Haberdashery's hypnotic dappled shade and shadow, and garnished with a twist of musical zest.
