This week, on the occasion of St. Nicholas Day and also in the midst of a mad flurry of international wedding celebrations in the Haberdite crewe, we take a moment to honor one of the matriarchs of our Haberdashery community, Kathleen Delaune, who is celebrating her 78th birthday today. Born December 6th, 1941, Kathleen came into the world with a bang ... and has wasted little time looking back. Our thanks to her for her foundational inspiration for valuing the importance of quality food prepared with loving care, her heartfelt hospitality, and her prioritization of a well maintained home, always welcoming to friends and strangers alike. It is an honor and a pleasure to call her Mom, and to always be striving to live up to her high standards of kindness, generosity, and gentle respect for all.Yes, my Holiday Hohos, Cocktail Hour is on for this evening. Please come help us celebrate Katie's birthday, as well as the weddings of Hersey & Francesco, and Megan & Massimo. It is a joyous season indeed! Cocktails will be served at 7:30pm. Please feel free to carroll on by for a quickie en route to your primary holiday soiree, or to linger indefinitely.
