CAYA; Earth Day Observed

Dear Lost Souls,

Looking back on the national and international news from this week ... the only thing remotely comforting was the celebration of 4/20 ... which is easy to forget. So . . . in a fit of reckless optimism, we will instead look forward to 4/22, when we can all celebrate Earth Day 2017 as a harmoniously united planet. Right!? And since it will likely not be long before Gaia shakes off the petulant scourge that is 'humanity', we are suggesting that you do your best to enjoy all of the Earth Days that we have left!

Yes, my Ephemeral Earthlings, Cocktail Hour in on for this Friday evening. Cocktails will be served starting at 7:30pm. Please feel free to drop by for a quickie en route to your cosmic destiny … or to linger for eternity.

CAYA; Earth Day, Dick Clark . . . and the Joys of 4/20

Dear Lost Souls,

This weekend gives us a number of opportunities to offer up thanks for the gifts and bounty of our Mother Earth!!
Sunday is Earth Day and San Francisco will be celebrating with a free event at the Civic Center Plaza . . . and Friday is 4/20 . . . which Wikipedia charmingly defines as a "US Counterculture Holiday". Soooooo ... Happy Counterculture Day! To celebrate these markers in the never ending celestial fox trot, we will be gathering around the Haberdashery's Hazy Hearth to share in some of Gaia's bountiful harvest, toasting Haile Selassie, and (in our own little way) honoring the passing of everyone's favorite music icon . . . Dick Clark!! . . . may Gaia rest his soul.

Yes, my Resplendent Rastafarians! ... Cocktail Hour is on for this Friday Evening. As always, our highly trained Mixology Maestros will be jammin', jammin' . . . jammin' in the name of the lord . . . shakin', stirrin' and whirlin' to fulfill your cocktail dreams. Cocktails will be served at 7:30pm. Please feel free to stop for a quickie en route to your primary Friday evening venue, or to linger indefinitely . . .
