CAYA in the City; DJ Mr. Fabulous spins Potrero Hill!

Dear Lost Souls,

By popular demand, the Haberdashery will be back in San Francisco this week . . . kickin' it at Club 631 Pennsylvania Avenue, on Potrero Hill . . . facilitating all you City folk to Come As You Are, juuuust a little bit closer to home. To tempt your wayward musical souls, we will have special guest DJ Mr. Fabulous spinning the night away; joining us from Italia! We know plenty of you are headed out to the Playa this weekend, so don't be afraid to stop by and show off a little Black Rock City style before you skip town! We are expecting a healthy crowd, so on this occasion, to help us better serve you, we welcome you to contribute your favorites to the bar. A big thanks to Christy Bolingbroke and Aliza Arenson for hosting!

Yes, my Cosmic Urbanauts, Cocktail Hour is on for this Friday evening. The stars are gonna be out, the cocktails are gonna be shakin' and stirrin', and the music is gonna be thumpin'. So put on your dancin' shoes, shimmy up to the bar, let our dedicated Cabana Boys weave your whimsies into alchemical gold, and float away with Mr. Fabulous as he takes you on a rhythmic adventure across his magical ocean of sound. Cocktails will be served at 6:30pm. Please feel free to stop by for a quickie en route on your evening's voyage . . . or to linger indefinitely.

Yours,

CAYA in the City; The Haberdashery goes South of Market

Dear Lost Souls,

This week the Haberdashery is proud to partner with the Jellyfish Gallery to host an evening of music, dancing, and mixology South of Market in San Francisco.
. . . Harkening back to the hallowed days at the end of the 20th century, when the first Haberdites would gather in small bands at different undisclosed locations each week, experimenting with dark alchemy and clear spirits, we are once again taking our shakers on the road . . . and the road has risen to greet us!

Yes my Inebriated Invertebrates! ... Cocktail Hour is on for this week; SOMA Style! Coming to us all the way from Italia,
DJ Mr. Fabulous will be spinning, the Cabana Boys will be shakin', and the dance floor will be stirrin'! Do you really wanna to miss this? . . . didn't think so! We will have mixers and some liquor standards on hand, but please bring along your favorite alchemical additive to contribute to the Cocktail Cornucopia . . . the more exotic the better! This is a nice big dance space . . . so bring your dancin' shoes, your dancin' friends and be sure to wear your party dress!

As always, cocktails will be served at 7:30pm . . . but feel free to stop by early if you on you're way home from work. As always, please don't hesitate to stop by for a quickie en route to your primary Friday evening soiree, or to linger indefinitely . . . indubitably . . . invertebrately!

The Jellyfish Gallery is located at:
1286 Folsom Street;
between 8th and 9th Street (Map)

Yours,
Los CabaƱero

P.S. This weeks Haberdashery Flashback takes us back to August 17th , 2004; Five Years You'll Never Get Back . . . the story of how it all got started!

Come As You Are - 'Chez Broadway Style'

Dear Lost Souls,

There lies in each of us,
Between heartfelt regret for the many sins of our checkered past
And mischievous pride for those undeniable transgressions for which we have escaped a just retribution
A buzzing anticipation of the moment when we shall, once again, succumb to temptation, indulge our truest desires, and fall blissfully into the gluttonous arms of sinful abandon . . .
. . . for though Cocktail Hour may slumber, it has never died, and waits silently for the dawn of another age, when all who wander this indigo sphere will set down their woes, if only for a few short hours, and at the end of their weekly burden lay warm gazes upon their fellow man through the comforting haze of a finely crafted Cocktail of their choosing.

Yes! my thirsty brethren of an era whose memory still glows bright in the absurd mythology of our common past, Cocktail Hour is on for this Friday Night.  Our tattered band of wandering souls will convene for this rare reunion of what might possibly have been a fabricated phantom of our collective dreams.  Come test the fragile edges of your marinated recollections, or weave a new tale rooted firmly in the nebulous soil of impossibility . . .

OR . . . if you like . . . just come throw back a couple o’ Cocktails with the old crew.  The Haberdashery will indeed be holding court in the great City of San Francisco, in the heady environs of Pacific Heights.  A smattering of the old and the new, the borrowed and the blue will be on hand to hoist a glass to those Cocktails Hours gone by . . . and those many in which we have yet to indulge.  The Haberdashery will have its usual cadre of highly dedicated Cabana Boys on hand to test the limits of modern alchemy, weaving gold from the common elements of your base desires and highest imaginings.  For those of you lacking in either, we shall endeavor the quench the void.

The proceedings will convene at:

Chez Broadway
2285 Broadway (near the corner of Filmore and Broadway)
Buzz Apartment #1 (Tinker, Chen, Schneiter)
Tel: 415.921.3833

So Come As You Are, leave your troubles by the door and follow that warm Haberdashery glow up the stairs.  Be sure to check out the roof deck for an outrageous view of the Golden Gate.  Cocktails will be served at 7:30pm.  As always was, you presence is our pleasure, so in particular for this rare reunion, please do not hesitate to just stop for a quickie en route to your primary Friday night venue . . . or to linger  . . . indefinitely.

Yours,
Greg
