Have you gotten bitch slapped by the Sequester yet? Have your travel plans been delayed by TSA cutbacks? Has your Blue Angels show been canceled for Fleet Week? Have you been furloughed as a federal employee? Does your postal carrier taunt you, leaving your mail in a bush by the curb? Are you frustrated because you have to ride-share in your M1A2 Abrams Tank? . . . and the other driver leaves the seat in a weird position? Luckily, the sequester has not in anyway penalized the politicians who caused it!! Whew!!! . . . although The President did take a $20,0000 pay cut in solidarity with other fed employees . . . perhaps just a gesture, but a helluva lot more of a gesture than the rest of the impotent peanut gallery!!! Well! . . . The Haberdashery does not trade in blackmail and excuses, nor do we bellyache that the Sequester ate our homework!!! . . . NO SIR!!

CAYA; To The Heroes of Bean Town!

Dear Lost Souls,

Bean Town will not be daunted. The marathon will not be stopped. And the people of this nation will not run in fear from the depravity of cowards and madmen, who train their malevolence on the soft underbelly of the vulnerable and the innocent.The impact of the horrific bombing at the Boston Marathon, and the week of chaos that has ensued is still difficult to fully comprehend. Even with one suspect dead and the dragnet closing in on another, the aftermath for the injured, the families of the dead and injured, and the community at large has only just begun. The heroic acts of common citizens and emergency response personnel alike, however, have been an inspiration; testaments to the sanctity of the human spirit, the power of community, and the unflappability of our nation.

Yes, my Celtic Compatriots! . . . Cocktail Hour is on for this Friday evening . . . to offer up a special toast (or two) in honor of the heroes of Boston, and the endurance of the American experiment. Who knows what tragedies and challenges await us in the ages to come, or what depravities of government and industry are yet to be revealed. But, the Haberdashery will endeavor to persevere in our own spirit of transparency, generosity, and good cheer! . . . we can't make any promises about the depravity part.
