There will be no Cocktail Hour at the Haberdashery on Friday, September 2nd ... however, if you are going to Burning Man this year, please do stop by Camp IDEATE at 6:15 and Effigiare to join us for a dustier version of our usual Friday evening constitution!

CAYA; A Season to Shine!

Dear Lost Souls,

It’s Burning Man season … with Burners from around the Bay Area and the world preparing to realize their annual pilgrimage to the dusty crucible of ideas that is Black Rock City … a blank canvas to be painted with the many-colored dreams of installation artists, musicians, jesters, clowns, visionaries, activists, and ne’er-do-wells who will populate an ephemeral community of 70+ thousand beautiful souls that exists for just over one week each year. The possibilities are limitless!

CAYA is on this evening, and then for the next two weeks, the Haberdashery will relocate to Black Rock City, where we will enroll a new community of Haberdites into our mission of fomenting a revolution for perpetuating relaxation and easy fellowship under the comforting glow of eclectic wishing stars … al fresco!

Yes, my Illustrious Illuminati, Cocktail Hour in on for this Friday evening. Cocktails will be served at 7.30pm. Please feel free to manifest thyself for a quickie en route to your evening’s primary calling … or to linger indefinitely.

I mean, there's something going on there! I can tell you, the Haberdashery is the ONLY solution to combating this legacy of criminal-level boredom and divisive weekday oppression. We are the ONLY place where you can have fun on a Friday, and the ONLY option for getting THE BEST … REALLY FABULOUS … I mean you are NOT gonna believe how GREAT they are … custom crafted adult beverages. So, to make Friday GREAT again, and protect YOU, we are immediately suspending your right to attend any other social events with your other friends who, if they do not grasp the magnitude of this danger, are not fit to host you!

Come As You Are; The Rollercoaster

Dear Lost Souls,

From the heights of unbridled Love and euphoric joy, to our deepest sadness, anger, and pain, we navigate a path of emotional ups and downs through hair-raising twists and turns, all underscored by ongoing stretches of tortuous anticipation and cathartic resolutions; whether they be triumphant or devastating in their nature. But let us remember that we are not alone, and that our brothers and sisters are sitting beside us, reflexively ready to reach out a steady hand, or offer a shoulder to share; together celebrating or supporting us as the need arises. And in our own sharing and connecting we embrace the delicate dance of our humanity, bound together in our aloneness; to which we can either close our eyes and desperately wait in fear until the journey is done, or open our hearts and minds to the thrill of a lifetime spent in the boundless pursuit of our own unique and authentic spiritual adventure; which is a ride worth taking!

Yes, my Mystical Merrymakers, Cocktail Hour is on for this Friday evening, and you are invited to gently ease yourself into the contoured cushion of the Haberdashery’s low expectations and highball creations.
