As the national dialogue spirals out of control and our news cycles continue to be dominated by divisive politics, culture wars, and escalating violence, there sometimes seems no place to turn for relief. So, let us turn inward ... at least for an evening ... and take a break from the caustic rhetoric to spend some simple time in easy fellowship and merry making with our fellow Haberdites. So, Come As You Are, invite a loved one, bring an instrument, leave your frustration at the bottom of the stoop, and come experience a bit of repose; Haberdashery style. Let love reign.

CAYA; Oh Me Oh My – 49 years! . . . and Prop 8

This week, a special toast goes up to Kathleen and Gene Delaune on their 49^th Wedding Anniversary! God bless em’!! Despite political gyrations, and the battles surrounding CA Proposition 8, somehow the institution of marriage has managed to survive. And what better proof than theirs? . . . that Love supersedes the turbulence of time, politics, and nudging three children out of the nest.

In their honor . . . and in celebration of Love’s triumph over the narrow minded . . . the Haberdashery will consummate our own sacred union, with that CAYA brand of alchemical affection. Whether you prefer something traditional, straight, a bit fruity, hard on the rocks, vigorously shaken, lowball and smooth, or up and neat . . . Los Cabañeros will be on hand to realize your Cocktail Dreams. . . bending over backwards to deliver satisfaction. Its liable to be a long night . . . (no spectators, please).
