T-15 Days! ... The Haberdashery Mardi Gras party will be Saturday, March 4th ... so everyone should be in full training mode for the big day. Hurricanes are in the forecast and our cabana boys are busy planning our emergency response maneuvers to make sure that this will be the best Mardi Gras party ever ... God knows we can use the distraction!

Yes, my Liquored Lilliputians, Cocktail Hour in on for this Friday evening. Cocktails will be served at 7:30pm. So, pry yourself away from the unmitigated dumpster fire that is the current state of American politics, and give yourself the gift of an evening nestled in the dappled shade and shadow of our low expectations ... comforted and secure beneath the sparkling promise of our eclectic wishing stars and a magical fluorescent moon. As always, please do not hesitate to stop by for a quickie en route to your primary train wreck … or to linger indefinitely.

'Tis the season of the Taxman . . . who now, fat and happy with his pound of flesh, sits satiated on the fruits of our domestic labors . . . so to fund the pork and politics that fouls the halls of our National Capital . . . while undeserving the care and feeding of our nation's precious human capital, who ignorantly (and often blissfully) fuel the parasitic machinations of graft and partisanship that are the bane of today's political status quo. Now two days later ... as our vision slowly clears and the sting of the bite begins to numb, we may return to our regularly scheduled lamentations, albeit with a lighter purse . . . and an adult beverage in hand, that so holds a promise of soothing the pain and blurring the vivid dysfunction of our per annum omage to our romantic experimentation with an imperfect union.

Yes, my Depleted Dilettantes, CAYA in on for this Friday evening. Cocktails will be served at 7.30pm . . . and this week there will be some sweet and savory Cajun treats for early arrivals.
