Dear Lost Souls,

Round and round . . . we dance the eccentric dance of eternity while we hurtle together through the endless void of the heavens at the speed of life itself. Let us hold on tight to our fellow cosmonauts, nurturing each other, and the fragile blue spaceship to which we precariously cling. Let us celebrate another circuit, bringing us again to the bright sun-shiny promise of the coming season. With all that is dark and ominous in the ephemeral human dramas of the age, still there is always the promise of Spring and the peaceful transition of power to Summer's glorious reign. So let us hoist a cup o' good cheer. Let us embrace our fellow brothers and sisters who are the cheerful gardeners of our mortal souls. And let us give thanks that we too have lived another day to enjoy the glory of the celestial symphony that has given us the miracle of life, resting assured that it will carry forth our legacy when we too are witness to our final dawn, and return to stardust, from whence we came.

But behold, on the temporal horizon . . . a sanctuary of moderation and tranquility beneath a blessed canopy of low expectations. The Haberdashery this evening offers up some hope for some Czechs & Balances to a precarious simulation scenario gone off the rails. Come join us for a special tasting of The Haberdashery Brewing Company's latest on tap creation, a Czech Lager worthy of the times . . . with clean, crisp, and honest good taste for an age of uncertainty and rampant ill will. CAYA - Dr John, The Night Tripper, Has Left The Building

Dear Lost Souls,

'Towards the break of day' . . . New Orleans and the world yesterday lost a musical and cultural icon, Dr John, The Night Tripper. A Grammy award-winning musician and NOLA mainstay of creole-style jazz, boogie-woogie, and zydeco, his loss will be morned around the world, but most acutely in the Big Easy, where the Doctor held court. Tonight let us hoist a glass in his honor, sing him a song, and give thanks for the gifts of music and revelry that he showered upon the world. May the Night Tripper now find well-deserved peace and repose beneath a moss-draped cypress along Bayou St. John, and sing forever sweetly in the company of the pantheon of NOLA minstrels who he now joins.

While these late season tempests threaten to play havoc with your weekend plans, The Haberdashery remains a warm and dry sanctuary to rest your weary soul at the end of another tiresome week of labor in the coal mines. Please join as as we toast the promise of the season, and do our bit to bring some light, warmth, and music into this tumultuous world.

Many thanks to those of you who donated to support the Sierra Nevada Relief Fund for the Camp Fire. Through your generosity, we raised $60 with a 5 gal keg of home-brew. The Haberdashery Brewing Company will donate all proceeds directly to the fund. Please continue to help support the relief efforts by donating directly to the fund.
